This is an awesome place to introduce children to the beauty of ponies.  They are opened Wednesdays through Sundays, between the hours of 10am and 5pm.

 

So come on down to: 11369 Carson Street in Lakewood, to have a pony ride and experience the petting zoo, where there will be rabbits, goats, sheep, chickens and an alpaca.

HARBOR BREEZE LONG BEACH HARBOR CRUISE

This cruise operates daily, and will only take an hour of your time, but you will view the skyline of Long Beach, learn about the history of the harbor, and even see a sea lion or two. If a round of golf under a cloud-free blue sky is your passion, then the Lakewood Country Club, which was designed in 1933 by William Bell, is one of the best courses to experience.  It is conveniently located next to the airport in Long Beach.

LOLLIPOP LANE

Stop by 5720 Clark Avenue in Lakewood the third Saturday every October, to enjoy a stroll down Lollipop Lane.

More than 100 vendors are ready to sell their handmade crafts and personalized items to you, to use as home accessories, Christmas gifts and Halloween and Thanksgiving decorations.  Bring a pal and take a walk down Lollipop Lane, to enjoy an afternoon of shopping, fun, friendship, and the wonderful weather of an autumn day.  Admission and parking is free.  Lunch and other refreshments are available to enjoy for a fee.

HALLOWEEN CARNIVALS

This annual carnival is fun and safe for the entire family.  There will be food, games, and special prizes for the children.  Many of the local parks, including Bolivar, Mayfair, Biscailus, Del Valle, San Marin, and Palms host this evening on October 31, between the hours of 6pm and 8:30pm.

TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY

Gather around the 24 foot tall tree that stands in the Civic Center Plaza, on the first Friday of December, as the annual tree lighting ceremony commences.  The festivities are enhanced with traditional Dickens carolers singing your favorite holiday tunes. In addition, there will be food trucks, carnival games, and face painting.  Also, Santa will be on site to hear your wish list.  Join friends, neighbors, and visitors for this grand annual outdoor event.

SUMMER CONCERTS IN THE PARK AT DEL VALLE PARK

Every summer in Del Valle Park, there are outdoor concerts for all to enjoy, all summer long.  Come on down and dance under the stars.

THE FIESTA

Spring is welcomed in Lakewood with the “Fiesta”, and this community event hosts elaborate dance performances, as well as live music, food, rides, and dealers selling theirs arts and handmade crafts.  Bring the entire family and invite some friends, to this long running event that is continued year after year, because the community is unable to view their life without it.
